
The ABSENT LANDLORD COMPANY LIMITED is a professional company formed to address the increasing demand for property management and related services in and around East Devon. Based in Seaton, it is ideally placed, being equidistant between Lyme Regis in the East and Sidmouth in the West.
We are dedicated to meeting the needs of people who own one or more properties, most of whom become “ABSENT LANDLORDS” at sometime or other. Made up of a group of people with many years’ experience in helping others maintain their properties to a high standard, we pride ourselves in appointing a dedicated experienced Relationship Manager to each individual client. We understand how important this is in order to help ensure that all aspects of enquiries are dealt with efficiently and accurately. An experienced group of Operatives carry out the requirements of each of our clients. On occasions the Relationship Manager may be the Operative and actually undertake the requirement.
We will regularly check with our existing clients to make sure that the services we offer grow inline with client demands. We acknowledge that all owned properties are a major investment. The services available are based around client demand. Our list is intended to be a guide only. Should any service be required that is not listed, we would be very pleased to source it, supply it and add it to the list.
WHAT WILL IT COST ME? There are three levels of annual membership, details of which can be found under "Membership Details". The amount a member ends up paying is entirely up to each individual property owner. Once the level of membership and Project Management Fee has been selected, it then depends on what work the ABSENT LANDLORD COMPANY LIMITED is required to do. It is as simple as that.
The benefits to members are too numerous to mention. In the case of resident homeowners, everybody likes to “get away from it all” from time to time, but quite often cannot because there is nobody to look after the property. For non-resident and/or second-home owners, nobody wants to arrive at their property to find that lots of maintenance, either planned or emergency, requires attention. So let the ABSENT LANDLORD COMPANY LIMITED get involved enabling you the owner(s) to make the most of your investment and leisure time.
HOW DOES IT WORK? Firstly complete the Application Form and send it to us. Once your membership has been confirmed, you just call your Relationship Manager and talk them through your requirement(s). Alternatively, you can call our office during normal working hours and talk us through your requirement(s). You can also email us details of your requirement(s) if you prefer. We will endeavour to respond in the shortest possible timeframe with an indication of the cost along with an estimated start date and time. Once all this has been agreed the work commences. On completion of the work and acknowledgement from you that you are fully satisfied, you will be presented with two invoices, one from the Operative for the actual work and one from the Absent Landlord Company Limited for the Project Management fee.
